Kaslo Village Hall was built in 1898, and it is one of only two intact wooden buildings still in use as seats of government in Canada. Currently, the Village Hall is being renovated to restore it to its original state, and we were privileged to take a tour of almost the entire building. Some of the rooms were locked, and we were not given permission to enter the third floor - where the bell tower and balcony is - but we sure had an interesting visit. We're kicking ourselves now for not running our voice recorder while we were there; it would have made an already incredible visit even more interesting, that's for sure. Enjoy the video...
