OH NO... Car trouble on your trip? $500 for brake job... That's a total bitch. BUT $78 for a nice motel isn't a bad deal. Hi-way robbery, but pretty good for accomadations this time of year."
We agree! But the upside is that the awesome folks at Travellers Motel and Minute Muffler made it possible for us to have the rest of our vacation, so even though it was costly for us, it was still a huge blessing.
Prango says: "
Never fails, cars are such a pain in your butt, I know when the ignition switch went out on ours, no fun walking everywhere for 2 weeks, took the mechanic that long to order and install the switch, did not cost me as much as yours did thou..."
Yes, they sure can be a pain in the butt, Prango - especially when we just had the brakes done a month before we left.
AmandaMagick says: "
I can relate to your car troubles. Brakes not braking is a nasty thing. Your hotel sounds wonderful and a good price for all that per night."
Yes, we were definitely tense and on edge the entire time we were making our way to Cranbrook. The driving rain was especially worrisome, considering the fact that the brakes were barely working.

But we agree about the motel: for everything that was included, we actually got a pretty decent deal.

awesome video. And EEEEEWe on the spider. LOL."

Personally, I'm with you on the "ewww" part, Amanda - I'm not good with spiders at all. But she was just so pretty that I had to at least try to take her picture. And we're glad you enjoyed the video.
Shawno says: "
I loved your campsite... FREE SHOWERS??? NICE! Superb slideshow, I really REALLY enjoyed it. It was like being here. But that spider looked deadly... the 9 foot devils clubs was cool too."
We really loved the site too, Shawn. It was huge - and being surrounded by so many tall, old cedars was an extra blessing, because all we had to really worry about was the mosquitoes. And not only are the showers free, but there's also a free hot tub for guests, too. Kewl, eh?

The spider... well, I'm just glad she didn't move while I took her picture. And the devil's club was actually one of the smaller plants - we saw devil's club plants that were close to 12 feet high!
the BackPacker says: "
Ah man... now I wanna go. Great shots kiddo, glad you arrived and returned safely. Some great looking flora."
Grizz! So great to see you're back!

It really was a beautiful place to stay; the plant life is so diverse there that it would have been very easy for us to shoot a hundred or more pictures just on them...

Thanks for taking the time to drop by and leave your comments, everyone. We're happy that you enjoyed what you've seen so far, and we hope you'll get as much pleasure out of the upcoming videos.

Our next video will be our 12th wedding anniversary. It was a weekend we won't soon forget...
